Nikitino (former 69th km platform): how to get there and what to know
If you are looking for the '69 kilometre platform' on old maps and cannot find it in schedules, everything is fine: since 24 October 2024 the stop has been officially called Nikitino. The name was changed by Russian Railways order No. 74, and now schedules, Yandex maps and ticketing systems use the new name. The old one lives only in old sources, on railway signs by inertia and in the minds of those who have been travelling here for years.
Where it is and what is there
The stop is on the Orekhovo — Sosnovo section of the Priozersk direction, between the 67th kilometre and Igora platform. According to the line diagram: Orekhovo 63.6 km, 67th km 66.7, Nikitino 68.5, Igora 69.7, Sosnovo 73.3.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Stop coordinates | 60.5066254 / 30.2394794 |
| Platform 'to St Petersburg' | 60.50758 / 30.23844, with canopy |
| Platform 'to Sosnovo' | 60.50577 / 30.24040 |
| Platform length | 210 m |
| Former name | 69 kilometre (until 24.10.2024) |
| Until 1948 | Kelliö |
The platforms are offset relative to each other, and the crossing between them is at one level across the tracks. There is a canopy only on the 'to St Petersburg' side, so in rain you will have to wait for a train towards the region in the open air.
The settlement 'Platform 69th km' nearby is small, about 288 people according to the 2010 census. There are no shops at the platform itself: groceries are bought in advance in Orekhovo, Pyatirechye or Zaporozhskoye. This is important if the platform is a starting point for you, not a finish.
Schedule and prices
About 30 stops per day pass through Nikitino in each direction, including 2–3 'Lastochka' trains. During the day intervals are 25–60 minutes, in the evening less frequently.

Bicycle transport
For this platform the question is not idle: Nikitino is the finish of the route from Orekhovo to Ladoga, and most people return from here, with a bicycle.
- **65 ₽** — transport within St Petersburg.
- **48 ₽** — transport within Leningrad Region.
- **With a pass — free**, but the receipt for the pass is mandatory: without it transport must be paid separately.
- **The price does not depend on distance.** You travel one stop or seventy — you pay the same.

What to remember
- **There are no ticket offices at the platform** in open sources — count on buying on the train or online.
- **Crossing the tracks at one level.** With a bicycle this means: take off your bags or roll it carefully over the rails, not on the move.
- **Return trains end in the evening.** If you plan to leave the route here, check the schedule of the last trains in advance — this is not a place where you can decide on the spot.
- **Name in the navigator.** Look for 'Nikitino', and if it is not found — try 'platform 69 km'. Both formulations refer to the same point.
